Shepherds Views Guest Book
Your views – as opposed to Shepherds views – are important to us. Please tell us what you think so that we can continuously improve. Here are a selection of kind words and testimonials from some of our self-catering cottage, touring caravan park, campsite and camping pod clients.
My friend and I stayed in one of the pods for three nights this weekend and found it very good and clean. Made a nice change to a tent. The other facilities were very good too. I would recommend it.
We had a fantastic time chilling out in the Old Bakery. Lots of places to visit and plenty of places to eat. The owners, Julie and Steve were very hospitable. The converted barn is beautiful. I especially was fond of going and feeding Murphy and Jackson. The horse and donkey. Will hopefully be visiting again next year.
Cracking little campsite, well away from the crowds in the Lakes, unisex toilets and showers are very clean, showers are hot, nice grass for pitching a tent on, you can have a camp fire, owners sell you a bag of kindling for £1 and a sack of logs for £4 only. Reception is open till 9pm and in it are two fridge freezers were you can store food, milk and lager. This is family owned site and their farm is a working one that is attached to it. The owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is no noise pollution from vehicles whatsoever. Good info in Reception as to local attractions. Seascale is a nice little seaside village that has a McColls supermarket that’s cheap and is open till 10pm. There’s a butchers a few doors up from McColls where you can get sausages and burgers. Walks along the beach are superb. Can see the Isle of Man and possibly Ireland on clear days. There’s an ice cream parlour also near McColls and the beach is over the road. Seascale is 1 mile at the most from the campsite. I would choose this part of the lakes over the likes of Windermere and Keswick every time. I will visit Shepherds Views again for sure.
We have just come back from a weeks holiday in the old bake house. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you should need. The bed was amazingly comfortable (I have a bad back condition so usually have problems). Very clean & came back truly relaxed. Steven & Julie very friendly & eager to make sure everything is just right. 5 star *****
Thank you & hope to visit again with family ;-)
After spending a few nights caravanning here at Shepherds Views we would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in this part of the country. The site is spotless, well maintained and in a beautiful location. Caravan pitches are spacious and not cramped together at all, which is great for us, having a large dog we prefer to have space to allow her to wander. Seperate dog walking field was excellent. The site was pretty quiet when we visited – perfect!! Owners are friendly and helpful and on hand if you need them. Unisex toilets and showers were clean and warm. Wished we had stayed longer.
Just returned from our 3rd visit to Dairymaids Cottage. As usual, we had a lovely week in this lovely comfortable cottage . We love the hot tub and even ventured on a bike trip (hired bikes from Julie & Stephen). We will be back again! Oh, and those fresh eggs!!!
